Located near the Danube River, the town of Lom is fast growing a place to invest. Situated in the North-west Bulgaria on the shore of the second largest river in Europe, the Danube River.
The town of Lom is 162 km north from Sofia, 56 km south-east from Vidin, 49 km north from Montana and 42 km west from Kozlodui. On the Danube River’s shore are built holiday bases and places for relaxation and sport. The big river also gives great opportunities for fishing, water sports and a lot of other activities.
Among the numerous architectural monuments in the town are nearly 50 houses situated in the central part of the town, that were built in the period 1900-1935 after the design of Viennese and Belgian architects with unique mosaics brought by Austria and Italy.
If you want to learn more about the origin of the town and get acquainted with its history, you should visit the Historical Museum. In the centre of Lom next to the park with the beautiful fountains is the monument of Ceko Voivode that has taken part in the fights for liberation of the country.
Another cultural landmark is the antique fortress of Almus whose foundations are still preserved.
